Canada is Switzerland's second-largest economic partner in the Americas. International partnersīuilding on a free trade agreement established 2009, economic ties between Canada and Switzerland have grown stronger. This would open up new international perspectives and opportunities in terms of student mobility between two countries that share a strong partnership. Currently, the FHNW School of Business and the BCIT are in advanced discussions about a double degree cooperation in the bachelor’s degree programme Business Information Technology. The visit marks an important step in the cooperation between the two institutions. As a special highlight, Trade Commissioners with the Canadian Embassy to Switzerland and Liechtenstein provided insightful inputs on the economic relations between Canada and Switzerland. The intensive programme featured, among others, presentations on the future of banking, workshops on higher education from a global perspective and visits to various Swiss companies and organisations. From 20 – 29 June 2022, the Canadian delegation took part in a Faculty Field School to exchange knowledge of global business trends and discuss best practices in internationalising the business curriculum.
